  • My son just flew home to Maryland from the Jimmer camp in UT. He learned a lot of great skills and had a great time, but as a mom I was most impressed with the character of Jimmer. He said, ‘You know he is just a regular guy. He was sincere when he talked to you.’ He also said, ‘When Jimmer talked to us the things he said made me really think.’ As a mom of a 13 year old I am so grateful that my son had an opportunity to not just improve his basketball skills and game, but to come away wanting to be just like Jimmer as a man not just a basketball player.

  • Just wanted you to be able to share with Jimmer what an impact he had. Immediately upon returning home Saturday, my son wrote his own version of “the contract”. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience; he’s already looking forward to next year.

  • As far as my son’s experience, all we can say is WOW!!!! This was more a family environment. Jimmer’s Dad gave a great talk on respect for authority, work hard in school, etc. Your brother also gave a talk on work ethic to the kids. Jimmer spent the whole time at the camp and I personally witnessed Jimmer walking around talking to the kids. Not only is this an example of Jimmer’s character but for me I saw an example of a BYU athlete serving as a role model to the next generation of kids.
